Chris is a qualified as a solicitor in 1976 and, since that time he has acquired a number of skills that many lawyers never get to see. He was managing partner and senior of his firm, for many years, has worked as a mentor for many start-ups and small businesses and has been stand-in MD of a company at the top of its game. Just over 10 years ago, Chris decided to retire from general practice, to pursue a career concentrating on providing low-cost legal services to his favorite target clients, small businesses. He set up his present company which concentrates, exclusively, on providing legal (and management) advice to smaller businesses. Whether it’s a simple set of terms and conditions or a complicated shareholders’ agreement, Chris has a level of expertise that puts him way ahead of his High Street colleagues. Chris, almost, invented home-working, about 10 years ago, when he made a small office in his garage and, from that worked, almost exclusively, online. From there, he has now graduated to a room, overlooking the small village in which he lives, and conducts, almost, all his work remotely. The small village is in rural Northern France, is idyllic, but is just a short hop to London, when the need arises. The location keeps overheads and so fees down. No staff, no expensive offices, just Chris. Chris talks plain English, has a passion for helping people start up in business, is not a typical clock watcher, and prefers to get a good job done, rather than count every minute he spends on that job. Plain talking, responsive and proactive, Chris is ideally placed to help most small businesses with their non-contentious work.
